Guitar has been a best friend since my pre-teen years. The hours and years we’ve spent together have shaped who I am and what I stand for. I have over 25 years of experience as a musician — practicing, performing, recording, and teaching. Additionally, I have 12 years under the belt as a certified teacher. Learning to play the guitar was not something that came naturally to me. I remember being the worst player in my group of musician friends in middle school, but loved it and stayed with it. Learning and teaching yourself is not the same as teaching others. If learning music didn’t come naturally for me, teaching and helping others to learn did. I come from a family of educators: teaching is the most intuitive thing I’ve ever tried.
